ABOUT
London-based, East-African born artist. Working primarily in oil paint, utilising vibrant colour and textures in considered compositions, in an effort to amplify our ordinary spaces and rituals. Current series draws heavy influence from photography and the cameras ability for infinite perspectives. By isolating part of the whole, the image tries to draw more attention to materials and techniques. Inviting viewers to engage with the surface quality and depth, before exploring a narrative beyond the picture plane. This underscores the artists belief that matter comes before story.
